An Audio Recorder Can Be Handy!

October 18, 2010 in Gear by stagemaster

There are many different occupations where an audio recorder can be a very helpful and handy device to possess. You might be a salesperson and after leaving a client’s place of business, you can verbally speak your orders for them into the audio recorder to transfer to the appropriate computer screen once you are back in the office or at home. Or perhaps you are a writer who might get an idea, or want to make some “notes” you yourself while driving, or doing something out in public. The same situation could apply to a scientist who might get a thought and want to remind his or herself of the idea later on.

A realtor, attorney, or doctor might want to record the conversation with a client, or new prospect, with the other person’s permission, of course. The audio recorder can be very helpful in this situation as well. Or perhaps a college student wants to bring this type of device to a class or lecture where they will be able to capture every word the professor says for studying reasons later on. There are a variety of uses for the audio recorder.

If you exercise, you will know that it is hard to look at a picture and try to do the particular move at the same time.   With this recorder you can describe the move in your own words slowly and then perform the exercise.

Have you ever gotten instructions over the phone about your computer or some other device and prompty forgotten them after you hung up?  I know I have.   With this device you can record the instructions and not worry about what was said.

Do you have a neighbor with a nuisance barker?   I love dogs but a nuisance barker can really get on your nerves.  Most people don’t want to believe their little darling is misbehaving.   With this device you have the proof for them to listen to with their own ears

There are a few good models of these gadgets on the market, and one of the best is the  MSC RX76 which is a digital recording device that doesn’t need those “old fashioned” tapes, but rather records voices and sounds digitally. Later when the unit is plugged via USB port into your computer, you are able to hear, edit, and store all of the audio and information. There are two models of this wonderful audio recorder; one which has a 288 hour capacity of recording time, and the other which features 576 hours. These beauties operate on one “AAA” battery and the unit only weighs two ounces.

Of course whichever audio recorder you select, will feature a built-in microphone and speaker, as well as a jack for an external microphone or speaker. These can even be used to hook up to a telephone for recording a conversation, with the other person’s permission, of course. Then there’s the built-in clock which can register the recording time.

You might not find a splendid device such as this audio recorder just anywhere, but you can obtain one online from a fabulous website that specializes in hidden cameras and surveillance equipment to protect you, your family, your home, and your business. Please visit www.nannycamsetc.com and take a look at the wonderful selection!

What Good Does A Phone Call Recorder Do?

September 30, 2010 in Gear by stagemaster

Well, you know the answer to the first question: what does a phone call recorder do? It records phone conversations! Good job. Now let’s ask another challenging question: what good does a telephone recorder do you? There are numerous reasons why you might need a phone call recorder. Imagine being able to record conversations with family members, business associates or random callers!

The fact of the matter is that any conversation you have on the phone could become a very critical piece of evidence. So no, the idea is not to record all 5,000 phone calls you receive in a month. On the contrary, the idea is to have the phone call recorder ready for the one-in-one-thousand phone call that you can’t believe you heard and have to hear again.

Have you ever had one particular phone call that you wished you recorded? Maybe it was some piece of incriminating evidence, or maybe it was just a happy memory that would be worth reliving later on. Imagine being able to record this conversation by cassette tape or by digital recording. It would be convenient to use and could always keep your phone conversations just a click away. There is something to be said about taping “both sides of the conversation.” Sometimes when one person shares a story, the story tends to be one-sided. If everyone had a phone call recorder in their home then a permanent record could be established.

When you have a telephone recorder you can record literally an entire day’s worth of phone conversations. Even better, some of the newer model recorders now have the ability to record conversations from virtually any telephone. Even poor connections cannot inhibit today’s phone call recorder from recording an easy-to-hear conversation, thanks to a highly sensitive microphone which provides crystal clear playback.

This type of telephone recorder can be used for curiosity, evidence, vindication or even for protection. The companies that make telephone recorders also create these devices capable of recording conversation from any location. You can record a class, speech or a meeting just as easily as you record a phone conversation. You merely rely on the high quality digital sound for recording and then download the file to your computer for sake keeping.

Today’s phone call recorder is small and inconspicuous so as not to arouse suspicion. You can take it almost anywhere and be unidentified as “wearing a wire.” Even better, you can record live phone conversations with just the click of a button. This invention can literally end the he said/she said debate forever. Because you recorded it all, you know the absolute truth! Phone recorders may not be available in stores but can be found from various electronic retailers online.

June 29, 2010 in Gear by stagemaster

A Mac compatible digital voice recorder lets you do practically anything you need to do with audio quickly, efficiently and affordably. The best devices have hundreds of hours of recording time courtesy of a very durable 1 GB SD card, and allow you to talk directly into the microphone. Microphones pick up high quality sound and allow either one-touch activation or voice activated recording by way of a Variable Control Voice Actuator feature. This enables the device to start recording as soon as it senses sound. You can adjust the microphone to pick up softer sounds or to mainly record human voices.

However, the capabilities of modern Macintosh compatible digital voice recorders do not end there. You get a full dot, backlit LCD for easy viewing whether dark or bright, which allows you watch your recording times and battery life. You can directly connect the system to a PC or laptop for easy and fast file transfers with a PC Link or a USB port. With the top systems from the Olympus and Philips line of Mac compatible digital voice recorders you also get DSS Player software.

This feature allows you to save files in high compression DSS format via the DSS player/recorder. The DSS stands for Digital Speech Standard and refers to a cost-effective but easy to use format that can convert and send high quality voice files directly to email for voice messaging. If you’re particularly interested in this aspect of a voice recorder then try one of the Olympus models like the Olympus DS-2400 Digital Voice Recorder DS2400. DSS software also allows you to erase single files and entire folders and is compatible with voice recognition software. There is currently a new software version of DSS-Player for the Macintosh compatible digital voice recorder. (Previously, DSS software was only compatible with a Windows OS)

You can also use the digital voice recorder Macintosh compatible system to record songs or commentary on the radio. This saves you money spent on satellite radio or more expensive iPod features. You can save MP3 files and WAV files and then easily transport them to your PC. You can record up to 250 songs or hundreds of hours of vocal recording. You can record your own voice for reminders later on or record an entire room full of people.

A Macintosh compatible digital voice recorder rewards Macintosh users with a device that is fast and efficient to use and a portable system that is very easy to work with. If you are interested in a digital voice recorder but use a Macintosh system, then your time has finally come. You don’t need a Windows compatible system to take advantage of the Olympus and Philips line of quality digital recorders and the DSS playing software. For more information visit RecorderGear.com.

Zoom H4N Recorder Review

May 21, 2010 in Gear by stagemaster

I had this for about a month and use often. My previous laptop a Sharp Mini Disc w / condenser mics had some built in an Otter box,
but this no longer works. The H4n is much easier to assemble because of the microphone stand to use, SD card (expandable to 16 gigabytes) and the USB port.
So far I’ve used make more complete experience (my own group), jam session recording, etc.
as a reference and evaluation. The sound quality is good with the built-in microphones, grade 90/120 is a useful and model variables.
The display is well designed and are smart enough to read in various lighting conditions and the menus are easy to navigate and can be mastered in a relatively short time.
buy I did not know to do with the illusion of Pro-shots, but he hoped that is good enough that I could loop booklet put together my PC at work.
This seems consistent with the additional inputs for microphones and instruments possible, and this is another reason that I can use this device to others,
and chose to register in 4-track mode. The possibility of using the H4 as audio interface is also a great feature, but I could not work very well on this
(which has tried unsuccessfully for about half an hour). My M-Audio 410, which works fine, so I gave up, but I will be dissapointed frustrated
when I needed to use this skill. I also spent a few minutes of recording multi-track mode. The effects are ok, but still do not have enough with them,
worked to form an opinion. The Stamina Mode is also great (I think I recorded for about 5 hours just on battery power),
but to disable some features.
The disadvantages is that it is a bit large, and the microphones are not protected
when I fell I did two times but now had the good fortune to have the country were soft, but do not seem too difficult and guard : Zoom H4N Review

Zoom H4n XY-microphone

Here, the stereo image opens suddenly. This XY microphone that is integrated into the device, the identification of a collapse very natural stereo sound.
It a very reflective space for you to know that, as the microphone about 15 meters from the sound source.
Zoom H4n Pair AKG 414S
Here we hear the pair of AKG 414 microphone pointing at the piano. Since the microphones are very close to the sound source,
there are far fewer “sound chamber.
This would be more suitable for a recording studio, while the sound might be appropriate in an XY recording or a classical field.
Zoom H4n mix of XY + 414
Is the best of both worlds. We have a signal directly from the 414S and some surround sound mix from the XY-microphone.
I think this is the best choice in most of the global scenarios.

ZOOM! ZOOM! H4n Handy Portable Digital Recorder

March 25, 2010 in Gear by stagemaster

Samson(Zoom) has announced plans to reveal its new H4n recorder at CES 2009. The Zoom H4n takes many of the features included on the original Zoom H4 (stereo mics, XLR/TRS mic inputs, variable-recording patterns, and a slew of recording formats and resolutions), but the design has been overhauled with a larger screen, improved button arrangement, a shock-absorbing rubberized body, and an all-metal microphone design.

The Zoom H4n records to SD and SDHC Flash media (up to 32GB) and captures audio resolutions up to 24 bit at 96KHz. Unlike the competition, the Zoom H4n includes many musician-friendly features, such as 50 virtual guitar-amp model effects, track markers, playback speed control, and studio effects. It also has a speaker built into the back of the unit. It’s not going to replace your book box anytime soon, but it comes in handy if you want to check your audio or play a clip for someone on the go. You can certainly use the speaker to play music as well – it’s just not going to sound very good.

Like the original Zoom H4, the Zoom H4n has a number of features that really set it apart from competing recorders from Sony, Marantz, Tascam, and Edirol. For one thing, you can use the Zoom H4n either to record straightforward stereo tracks or as a 4-track digital recording studio.

One of the main highlights of this compact audio recorder is the built-in X/Y condenser microphone which can support sounds which come in 90 or 120 degrees, thus resulting to more vivid audio recordings. And because users can digitally adjust the microphone, they can regulate every minuscule detail of the sound.

See More Information about this, The Zoom H4n is available through SalesaBuy.com.
