July 11, 2011 in Local Music by stagemaster

HTC cellphones launches a new underground video series titled “Local Dives.” The series captures local music artists from 5 major metropolitans around the good ole United States of America including NYC, LA, Seattle, San Francisco/Oakland, and Chicago. The goal of the series was to connect the true fans to the artists through the use age of a modern mean of cell phone technology. The series features each artist with a behind-the-scenes interview as well as spontaneous live performance somewhere in their local neighborhood. The featured artists include; Pigeon John, Go! Motion, Fitz and The Tantrums, The Rassle, Del The Funky Homosapien, Adobi Seksu, K.Flay, The Blakes, Grynch, Archie Powell and The Exports, and Kreashawn. Another goal was to bring the fans exclusive footage of the artist that they typically wouldn’t be able to access otherwise. The series is also very exclusive in the sense that QR code stickers were placed in and around each city by teams of guerilla marketers to provide the instant access through a direct link to anyone that scanned these stickers. Street Factory Media was responsible for overseeing the creative process. The project was produced by the team of Adam Ruben, Maria Carrera, and Pat Milbery and creatively contributed to by a handful of other awesome individuals.
