I got the blues….. i lost my friend
I GOT THE BLUES! I snapped my high e string doing some huge bends with like 1 minute left so I just shifted everything down a fret (I have a floyd rose so playing with 5 strings make everything sharp) and kept on jamming. There are times when life just feels great.
@willraz BB King, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, etc.
It was a pure extasy to do some blues on this. Thank you!
What are some good musicians that play this style of music?
@kennykins420 well said brotha
I’m somewhat new to the blues I use to be real into like metal but now i’m starting to listen to more Hendrix Stevie ray vaughn BB King Eric Clapton etc. and can someone help me out on how to solo over a backing track?
Can I use this to record? I wont be making any sort of profit, but I would like to record a solo over something like this so I have a sort of demo/sample that I can show people who I am interested in playing with. I have software to download it, I just dont want to use it without your consent.
what i’ve learnt in the past 10 years….
Learn the pentatonic scare as basic, then go on to learn the minor, then dorean, then corresponding scales like going from the 5th to 12th fret,
Find someone to jam with over simple chords, taking turns or over songs you like
A minor is the key everyone plays in, so try to vary, helps fret wear,
Practicing scales can help, however not too much cos that can actually make you worse
I’d recommend improvising over dire straits greatest hits album (:
@OnlyOnTheWeb
lol
ahh alright i was wondering why cos thats like real basics for improv
i’m very happy to report that i’ve been playing 10 years about 3-5 hours a day lol
whether it be all evening, while watching a film, while talking on the phone, i generally dont sit at the comp without a guitar on me
@GRRJayyy : Happy to report I’ve been going strong now for about 6 months. Playing for about 10 minutes every single day… be it during commercials, or after a fight with the girlfriend… and I can even recall one instance on the toilet.
