I have never played guitar but with this book I am moving along page at a time,I will say the DVD that comes with this book has made it so much more understandable and so much easier to follow,also could not read notes but I am learning now.My son plays guitar but can not read notes and he thinks it is great that I am learning so much,I would tell anyone this is the book to get
